Aldous Huxley 

Aldous Huxley was an English writer, but he moved to Los Angeles in 1937. Huxley wrote different genre, novels, short stories, poems, travelogues, essays, nonfiction and screenplays. He didn`t just write books, he also had interest ethical, political and esoteric topics.

 

Jack Kerouac

Jack Kerouac was an American writer. He is most known after his breakthrough with the book “On the road” in 1957. Kerouac has written 34 books. He had a strong interest in Buddhism, something he wrote about in one of his books “The Dharma Bums”.

 

Samuel Langhorne

Samuel Langhorne Clemens or better known as Mark Twain was born in Florida, November 30 in 1835. He died in Connecticut April 21 in 1910. Mark Twain was a famous writer, humorist, journalist and a presenter.  He is best known for his novels, about Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer. He also wrote travelogues and society critical reportage.

 
Walter Elias Disney 

Walter Elias Disney or Walt Disney as he also gets called was an American business magnate, cartoonist, animator, voice actor, and a film producer. His profession was to be a comic Creator and he was the first to draw Donald Duck. Walt Disney was born December 5 in 1901, and died 65 years old in 1966. He and his brother Roy founded a film studio in Kansas in 1923, and made their first cartoon about “Alice in Wonderland”. He has also created Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Bambi, Dumbo and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The last one he created was Jungelboken. Walter has also founded two amusement parks, Disneyland and Disneyworld. Both amusement parks are in California. Disneyland is in Anaheim, and Disneyworld is in Orlando.  Disneyworld is a larger version of Disneyland. Disneyland is in several cities, like HongKong, Paris and Tokyo. 

 

Edagar Allan Poe

Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer, poet, editor and a literary critic. And he is the first American that developed short stories and he also considered as the inventor of the crime genre. He was the first writer who tried to live on the money he made from writing, it didn’t go very well. He was born in 1809 and died 1849; he only became 40 years old.
